Setting Boundaries: Check in with your Spiritual Gatekeeper
I’ve mentioned before that getting to know your Spirit Team is important.
Today, I want to talk about your Gatekeeper, the one that protects your spiritual door. A spiritual bouncer, if you will; you know, “your names not down, you’re not coming in.”
The explosion of people wanting to step into their awakening is wonderful and sparking conversations people have been afraid to have for a long time. As we embrace the collective awakening, only those energies for our highest good must come through.
When we open the door to Spirit, just like your front door, if we leave it open, anyone can walk in, the good, bad and the other, which no one wants… I think. This is where your Gatekeeper comes in handy.
Here are some tips to help you set spiritual boundaries:
Get to know your Gatekeeper
Everyone has a Gatekeeper; They guard your third eye and crown chakras (or somewhere in between). When you next sit to connect with your Guides, whether through mediation or sitting in the Power, ask your Gatekeeper to step forward and say “hello”.
My Gatekeeper comes in with a rush of energy, and I can feel him standing behind me. Over the years, this has changed; I now hear him instead. And like my other Guides, I do regular check-ins just to say”hello”.
Like anything within mediumship, your guide will show up in a way you will recognise.
Set an intention
As part of your opening ritual, call in your Gatekeeper and ask them to only allow your authentic Guides and those for the highest good.
I try not to be too prescriptive, as they know what they’re doing, so they don’t need me to tell them how to do their thing.
Supervised visitors
Sometimes, an energy comes through, and members of my Spirit Team accompany them. I consider these non-traditional visitors; they have something important to say but are from a different spiritual realm. It’s nothing negative; they just have an additional energy source.
Not all energies that come through are working for your highest good. This does not mean they are dark and dangerous, but they have assignments that may not align with yours.
Spirits used to always drop in, either just to say “hello” or hang around, until I asked my Spirit Team only to allow those for my highest good. Whilst this doesn’t close the door to all energies, some will come through under the guidance of my team and pass on whatever messages they need to. If something still feels off, I explain that I don’t feel comfortable and ask them to leave. If I’m supposed to connect with them, they will find another way to get through.

Your Guides work as a team, and I like to imagine them all in a meeting room discussing my life, etc., and there are pictures of spirits who are and aren’t allowed in.
So the next time you talk to your Guides, say hello to your Gatekeeper and ask them to give you a sign of their presence.
